GREAT blog. I read it 3X to be very careful not to misread. :)
I'll admit, I do have a little dessert every night, but truly little. One of those mini cones (90 calories) from Trader Joe's. I think I'm lucky that I've never had the fierce craving for sweets that others do. Just having this little bit has been (no pun intended) the "sweet spot" for me.
You always offer great (no pun intended again, lol) food for thought!
One must moderate by degrees. Cold Turkey is too much shock to the system. First week give up cookies, next week cake. Then in succession candy, ice cream, pie, cocoa, honey-roasted peanuts. Repeat the cycle as necessary!
Well you got me! I had to stop and re-read when I got to the part about the past few years! Good one!
Thanks, DB! Wishing you the best Christmas ever!

I'm glad you enjoyed my light ditty for the sweetest of holidays! :)

What an outstanding plan. Question? Does that mean I can return to enjoying cookies and cake until the repeat cycle?

Tim, Thank you so much for reading my romp. May all that’s merry find you this holiday. 🎅🎅🎄
You had me on the line…happy holidays to you, those you love, and may these days be filled with a sweetness beyond sugar!
Oh goodness. Did you just announce a breakup with a spouse or boyfriend on Substack?
I will start pondering 2024 when I stop pondering Advent studying.
No. A breakup with sugar only. ha
